The 2023–2024 Passport and 2023–2025 Pilot may have a defective fuel filler setup that could allow leakage, Honda said.

Honda is recalling over 200,000 of its Pilot and Passport SUVs due to a potential fuel leakage issue. The recall affects 2023 and 2024 Passport models and 2023 through 2025 Pilot models, specifically those manufactured between February 14, 2023, and May 8, 2024. The problem arises from a faulty installation that may cause the fuel filler neck tube and pipe to separate in a crash, posing a safety risk. Honda stated that only about 1 percent of affected vehicles are expected to have this issue. So far, the company has received only one warranty claim and no injury reports. Recall notices will be mailed to owners starting January 6, 2025, and repairs will be performed at no cost. Owners can check if their vehicle is affected on the NHTSA or Honda’s recall websites.
